Native Daphne Moth Series

These small Moths found in different places around New Zealand collectively were, while each distinctively patterned, took on an overall Brown/Black tone and therefore difficult to discern at first glance. To make them really individually distinctive they have each been placed on a Neon colour which is hard to capture in Photography but viewed in real life certainly ping out of the envelope. By making each Moth one half and visually marrying it up with the next one we were able to get the Moth up in scale on the stamp as well as visually make up complete moths for the series of 6.
